Landscapes in time brings together nearly 300 wine professionals in Barcelona
Futuro Viñador held a new edition of its annual gathering last Monday, February 2, at the Metrònom venue in Barcelona, under the title Landscapes in time. The tasting was designed to present the 20 members of Futuro Viñador through 40 wines from outstanding vintages from their wineries.
The event brought together nearly 300 wine professionals — including sommeliers, restaurateurs, distributors, specialized press, and key opinion leaders — establishing itself as one of the few private, invitation-only events held in the city alongside Barcelona Wine Week (BWW).
Over the course of three hours, attendees visited 20 tables representing 20 wineries and tasted 40 wines from selected vintages. These wines, which typically remain in the cellar, were opened exceptionally for this occasion. The tasting offered the opportunity to compare different vintages from the same project and to reflect on how time shapes the expression of each landscape.
Landscapes in time proposed an open and approachable format, encouraging direct dialogue with the winemakers and highlighting patience, memory, and evolution as essential elements of wine. A relaxed atmosphere, defined by the quality of the bottles and the conversations, accompanied an afternoon dedicated to viewing wine with perspective.
With this edition, Futuro Viñador reaffirms its commitment to promoting wine as a reflection of territory and time, and to creating meeting spaces for the professional community.
